The 2017 Meredith Symposium focuses on undergraduate research in Chemistry and Biological Sciences. The Symposium will be held Saturday November 4th, 2017 in the Life Sciences Building at Syracuse University.

Encourage, Foster, and Prepare

The symposium will feature eight, 25-minute presentations by undergraduate students who have conducted at least one full semester of research and who participate in, or are eligible for, the McNair Program or the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Program at Syracuse University or SUNY, ESF. We're happy to announce our keynote speakers: Dr. Tayo F. Ikotun G'09 of the Research Imaging Sciences department at Amgen (Los Angeles), and Allison Roberts '14, who is now pursuing her PhD at University of California, Berkeley.

The symposium promotes the development of first-generation students as well as women in science while preparing them for future conference participation at the national level. There will be two awards for best presentations of $2,500 each to be used for conference travel and presentation.
